Verschaeren, Christel

Christel Vershaeren is IBM Europe’s IT and Change Management Director and laureate of the AXA Wo_Men@Work Award 2011

Christel Verschaeren is Director of Integration and Change Management
at IBM Europe. She is responsible for European countries and manages
the CIO projects locally. She is also globally responsible for building
change management capabilities in the CIO organisation. Gender
diversity has always been her passion. She led the IBM Belgium/
Luxembourg Women Leadership Council for three years next to her
day job and for the past seven years she has been co-chairing the
IBM’s Women’s Council in Europe. She also devotes a lot of attention
to mentoring other women and manages a cross-company mentoring
programme with IBM and other companies. As winner of the AXA Wo_
Men@Work Award 2011, Christel Verschaeren becomes the diversity
ambassador for the Belgian business world.
