Russ Hagey is Senior Partner and Chief Talent Officer

Russ Hagey is a Senior Partner and Worldwide Chief Talent Officer of Bain & Company. He joined the firm in 1982.

While at Bain, Mr. Hagey has worked in medical devices and healthcare services as well as high technology, consumer products, retail, and wholesale trade and distribution. He continues to work with clients on corporate strategies, growth initiatives, new product development, acquisitions, sales force and distribution issues. His work has spanned large corporate entities in addition to venture and private equity backed ownership stakes.

In his Talent role, he oversees the firm’s recruiting, professional development, training and human resources functions for over 5000 global staff.

Prior to joining Bain, Mr. Hagey worked as a Product Manager with ROLM Corporation. He earned an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. Mr. Hagey is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and was elected Phi Beta Kappa.

In 2007, Mr. Hagey was named one of the industry’s Top 25 Consultants by Consulting Magazine in its annual industry survey. Mr. Hagey has also led non-profit efforts for Bain’s Los Angeles office, where he formerly served as the office’s Managing Director for over 10 years. He now serves on the boards of directors for LA’s BEST, a nationally recognized after-school program for kids 5-12, as co-vice chairman for the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, the Southern California Committee for the Olympic Games, and the USA Swimming Foundation.
