Ann De Jaeger was trained as a philologist at the University of Ghent (Belgium). She combined her university degree with art school and was awarded the Government’s Medal in Theatrical Art and Poetry. She obtained an MBA at the Vlerick Leuven Ghent School for Management (Belgium) and started her career at this school as a Programme Manager and Lecturer in Marketing. She was particularly successful with a groundbreaking programme for startup companies, which brought out the entrepreneur in her.

In 1988, together with a mix of Belgian captains of industry and renowned professors in management, she founded Video Management, a company which produced and distributed management videos featuring world-class authorities in their fields. This experience allowed her to become an expert at popularising difficult management subjects for non-specialists.

Video Management was sold to Pearson in 2000, where Ann embarked on the conversion of the intellectual assets in new technologies. In 2003 Ann joined Executive Learning Partnership as Managing Partner.

Outside ELP, Ann also co-founded and sits on the Board of Akademos, a symphonic orchestra that aims to provide trained musicians who have not made their living out of music, with the possibility to maintain their talent by backing them with professional coaching, direction and the organisation of concerts. Ann is married to Marc, is the mother of Isolde and second mother to Charlotte, Esther and Margaux. She is an avid tennis player and watcher, a veracious reader of especially English and American literature, and an impromptu organiser of dinner parties around her husband’s delicious gourmet cooking.

Michele Mees is a Partner at the Centre for Balanced Leadership. She uses her extensive business and consulting experience to team up with CEO’s and management teams in order to define how a balanced organizational culture and an improved gender balance can impact top and bottom line.

Michèle was partner at a marketing consulting company before joining the Centre for Balanced Leadership. She advised clients in industries such as Finance, ICT and Media/Entertainment on developing and implementing customer-focused strategies for sustainable growth.

Previously Michèle was part of the launch team of two internet companies, after having started her career in the advertising industry.

Michèle is the author of many articles on marketing and communications, and co-author of a book on HR policies and communications (“Personeelsmanagement en communicatie in organisaties”).

At university, Michèle co-founded a student group for the advancement of women.

In 2008, after a career of 18 years, she was surprised and disappointed to see that she was still one of the only women around the table.

She decided to do something about it by helping companies to attract, keep and develop female talent, and by partnering up with Danielle Moens and the Centre for Balanced Leadership.

Michèle is passionate about developing balanced organizations

in which employees are happier

with whom clients prefer to interact, and

who make a meaningful contribution to society.
